Irish Society for Archives

We exist to promote the place of archives in Irish society

Our Autumn newsletter is due to be published at the end of October, the deadline for article submissions is October 12th.

This year’s journal will consist of the proceedings of the seminar held in February to commemorate 90 years of the Gate Theatre, it will be launched later in the year.

The 2018 Spring edition of our newsletter is now available to view here.  This edition includes articles on the Ballybit Vessel in Carlow, Jim Herlihy’s new book on the Irish Revenue Police, the Erasmus Smith Schools Archive, the ISA Gate Theatre Seminar and ‘The Archivist and the Historian’ symposium.

The most recent edition of our journal, Irish Archives 2018, dedicated to the 90 year history of ESB was launched in November 2017. Copies are free to our members and can be purchased individually from our editors.
